Overview

PACE Supply is looking for a driven Inside Sales professional to join our Groundwater Division is Fresno, CA.

 

As an Inside Sales Representative, you'll play a pivotal role in our commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing sales orders, engaging with customers, liaising with vendors, and guaranteeing smooth and efficient order processing.  At the heart of your role lies a dedication to delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities

  • Manage and process incoming sales orders within defined parameters and ensure accurate execution.
  • Prepare responses to customer requests for quotations, adhering to standard pricing and delivery terms.
  • Collaborate with various departments to resolve customer order issues and ensure smooth order processing.
  • Employ exceptional customer service methods to facilitate interactions and resolve order irregularities promptly.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about PACE Supply's products, including Pumps, Motors, Drives, and related components.
  • Engage in customer interactions via calls, emails, and in-person interactions, ensuring follow-ups, order status updates, and pricing accuracy.
  • Interact with vendors regarding pricing, inventory positions, lead times, and process purchase orders efficiently.
  • Provide accurate pricing quotes based on market intelligence and ensure timely processing from quotes to sales orders.
  • Coordinate logistics for deliveries and maintain precise dates on sales orders and purchase orders.
  • Handle customer delivery follow-ups to guarantee order accuracy and meet customer expectations.
  • Manage internal communications, participate in meetings, and share essential information across relevant teams.
  • Collaborate with Outside Sales associates to comprehend customer requirements and suggest suitable products.
  • Maintain meticulous sales records and handle administrative duties associated with each sale.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in person, providing product information and technical assistance.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and follow-up.
  • Manage counter sales, returns, shipping, and receiving following company policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge, industry trends, and participate in training sessions to enhance expertise.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and assist with inventory management.
  • Collaborate with outside sales representatives and various departments to support customer orders and share market insights for product/service enhancement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (typically 2+ years) in inside sales, customer service, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle various customer inquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Proficiency in managing sales processes, including order processing, quotations, and customer follow-ups.
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively with multiple departments to resolve customer issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn about products such as Pumps, Motors, Drives, and related components.
  • Familiarity with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software or relevant sales and inventory management tools.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with accuracy in maintaining records and managing administrative tasks associated with sales.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic work environment and willingness to learn about industry trends and product developments.
  • A proactive attitude with a focus on delivering high-quality service to customers.
  • Ideally, a degree or equivalent education in business, marketing, or a related field can be advantageous.

Work Environment

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions:

  • The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
