Responsibilities
- Oversee the receiving process for incoming materials from our Distribution Center, branches, and vendors.
- Safely unload trailers, inspect freight, and verify material quantity and quality to maintain an organized warehouse.
- Serve as the primary customer contact, delivering professional service and resolving issues promptly.
- Supervise and mentor the counter sales team to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and a positive customer experience.
- Process customer orders, branch transfers, and quotations with precision, following up to resolve discrepancies.
- Lead cycle counts, report inventory variances, and support year-end inventory processes.
- Drive ethical sales practices, provide accurate quotes, and contribute to process improvements.
- Maintain a professional branch appearance and in-depth knowledge of plumbing supply products and inventory.
- Enforce safety protocols, report hazards, and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks) safely.
- Facilitate ongoing team training on product knowledge, warehouse software, and industry trends.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (additional education or certifications in business, leadership, or supply chain management a plus).
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, plumbing supply, retail, or customer service roles.
- Expertise in receiving processes, inventory control, and quality assurance.
- Proficiency with warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers; must be 18+).
- Strong leadership and customer service skills to mentor and train a team.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and cycle count methodologies.
- Familiarity with plumbing products and workplace safety protocols.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to safety and accuracy.

Work Environment
Physical Requirements:
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
- Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
- Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Environmental Conditions:
- The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
