Overview

PACE Supply's new location in Riverside, CA is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and organized individual to join our team as a Receiving Lead.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate receiving, inspecting, and stocking of all incoming freight at our facility. You will ensure that shipments are properly verified against bills of lading, invoices, or storage receipts to maintain accuracy in our inventory management system.

 

As a Receiving Lead, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of goods through the warehouse, working closely with our team to ensure that materials are received on time and in excellent condition. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a cooperative manner with team members, customers, and managers.
  • Lead the huddles with safety topics, improvements and break schedules/ stretching.
  • Timely and accurate handling of incoming freight deliveries.
  • Safe and efficient unloading of trucks.
  • Identification of inaccurate or damaged material.
  • Maintenance of warehouse shelves for stock.
  • Preparation of material for back-order delivery.
  • Customer service support.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the overall facility to support safety standards, with an emphasis on the area assigned to the work group.
  • Training new hires: All new hires must be trained by the lead and/or trainer and shadowed for the first week or until the training list is completed.
  • Address and monitor all safety policies are followed and addressed accordingly.
  • Ensure all employees are on task and productive.
  • Coach employees to ensure work is completed accurately.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Strong product knowledge relevant to our industry and inventory.
  • Proficient in using the WMS inventory system, scanners, and HighJump software.
  • A commitment to excellence and maintaining high standards of performance.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical abilities, with effective time management skills being essential.
  • Professional demeanor, representing PACE Supply in alignment with our core values.
  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work enthusiastically in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • One to two years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Must maintain an excellent attendance record in accordance with company policies.
  • Current forklift certification required.

Work Environment

Physical Requirements:

  • The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs. regularly. This includes carrying, dragging, and walking with materials, as well as using a hand-truck.
  • Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Environmental Conditions:

  • The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to high, precarious places and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
